Blood donation drive begins, 600 pints collected across Kashmir on day 01

Around 600 points of blood were collected in different health institutions during a mega blood donation drive that started across Kashmir along other parts of India under Rakhtdan Ka Amrit Mohatsov, which would continue till 02 October.


Details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has revealed that around 600 points of blood were collected at different health institutions in Kashmir and 82 highest were collected at district hospital Handwara while 06 lowest were collected at District hospital Bandipora.

Officials said that 37 registrations were done on e-raktkosh at district hospital Budgam and all 37 points were collected.

They said that out of 40 registrations at SDH Chadoora, 20 were collected,  at District hospital Handwara out of 100 registrations 82 were collected and at JLNM hospital Srinagar out of 50 registrations, 26 were collected.

Similarly in SDH Kupwara, 32 registrations were done and all 32 were collected, at District hospital Pulwama, out of 50 registrations, 45 were collected and at District hospital Bandipora, out of 60 registrations 06 were collected.

Furthermore, at District hospital kulgam, out of 30 registrations eight pints were collected, out of 65 registrations, 48 were collected at district hospital Ganderbal and out of 100 registrations, 35 pints were collected at District hospital Shopian.

They said that out 30 registrations, 27 pints were collected at SDH Sopore while as 37 pints of blood were collected at SMHS Srinagar.

An official from Anantnag said that 113 blood points were collected including 40 in house, 33 Harnag Akhil Bhartiya, 27 at Dak Bungalow, 20 at central jail and 13 at Shangus—(KNO)
