Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday ordered that there will be no oral test or interview for several posts of at least six government department in the Union Territory.
According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the selection of all such posts will be made on the basis of written test only.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to direct that there shall be no oral test/interview for the posts detailed,” reads the order.
It reads that the selection for all such posts shall be made on the basis of written test only, with the further stipulation that trade test/skill test wherever prescribed shall continue to be held as per the relevant recruitment rules.
As per the order the post include Motor Vehicle Inspector, Junior Stenographer in Transport Department, Junior Stenographer in Tourism Department, Junior Stenographer and Library Assistant in Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Inspector Fisheries/Farm Manager/Equivalent, Fisheries Development Assistant/Surveyor Fisheries/Equivalent, Refrigerator Mechanic and Incubator Mechanic in Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, Junior Stenographer in GAD and Junior Stenographer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Mechanic) in PWD—(KNO)
