Will look into issue, if found violating visa terms or law, action will follow, says Tourism deptt official
In a first, a foreigner along with his mate was seen seeking donation on the bank of Dal Lake here while performing on the Guitar—a musical instrument, leaving everyone puzzled.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that street artists from Russia, who are on a visit to Jammu & Kashmir, are performing at the busiest places while placing a placard in front, seeking donations from the passerby.
The placard reads ‘Hi I am Ivan from Russia, I travel all over the world. Plz help me by donation’.
A video of one of their performances has also gone viral on social media, inviting different reactions from the netizens.
One of the netizens, Aqib Amin wrote, “Foreign beggars are also found in Kashmir’. The netizens were amazed to see the foreigners performing on the roadsides and expressed their views by writing different posts.
A top official from the Tourism department when contacted said that they are not aware about the issue. “We will look into the matter. If he is violating his visa terms or engaging in any illegal activity, the law will take its own course,” he said
