Influenza cases on rises in Kashmir this year:DHSK

'Cases three times more compared to last few years, No need to panic, preventive measures must'

Influenza cases are on rise in Kashmir and this year cases are three times more as compared to last few years, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) said on Monday.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather while talking to reporters after inaugurating diabetes screening camp at Gousia Hospital Khanyar said that influenza cases are being detected every year due to seasonal changes, however, cases are on rise in Kashmir.

He said that this year cases are almost three times more as compared to last few years but there is no need to panic, however, preventive measures are must.

"Whosoever will be symptomatic, he/she must take hot water and whosoever will have severe symptoms, must contact doctors," he said.

He said that people must wear masks, avoid gathering and take proper care of hygiene as well—(KNO)
