95% electricity restored, all feeders up across Baramulla, except outage of 8 feeders of 11 KV in Sopore: Officials

Says the remaining is likely to be restored by evening

 A day after the valley plains received light snowfall, the officials at Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said that around 95 percent of the electricity across the Baramulla district has been restored while the remaining percentage is likely to be restored by the evening.


Official data accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), stated that around 95 percent of the electricity is working across the district Baramulla in North Kashmir, while the officials are saying the remaining is likely to be restored by the evening.

The data further reads that, by 4 PM 595 MWs of load was recorded with a strength of 17 33KV lines, no feeder was on outage, however, of the 11 KV feeders standing at a strength of 174 in number, only 12 feeders were placed under outage status.

Sharing the feeder wise status of the power supply across the Baramulla. In the electricity division Baramulla, out of 72 11KV feeders, only 4 were under outage status while as in the electricity division Sopore, out of 75 11KV feeders, only 8 were put under outage status and similarly in sub division Tangmarg, out of 27 11KV feeders, none was on outage.

Meanwhile, officials at Baramulla and Sopore divisions told KNO that there was no major damage reported, however, added that the remaining feeders will be put on by evening positively—(KNO)
