The presence of over three dozen stray dogs in Batwara area of Srinagar have created fear among the local populace, who blamed the concerned authorities for failing to take necessary actions for their wellbeing.
Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Muhammad Umar, a local resident said that over three dozen dogs have been forcing them to stay indoors, especially during the morning and evening hours.
“We are facing tremendous hardships as a couple of people have been bitten by these stray dogs in the recent,” he said, adding that none of the officials from the cantonment board have even visited the area so far in this regard.
“The situation is worsening with each passing day. We appeal the concerned authorities to look into the matter at earliest so that the locals here could heave a sigh of relief,” he said—(KNO)
