Quality of Education at KU talked about across India: LG Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha Wednesday said that with the reforms in achieving success, the quality of education at University of Kashmir (KU) is not only popular here but is talked about across India.

Speaking during the ceremony of cultural festival ‘Sonzal’ at KU, Sinha said, “As I have already said that the KU has brought a lot of reforms, be it innovations, teaching learning process, value based education or scientific humanities research.”

The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the LG also said that the quality of education at KU is not only being talked about in Kashmir only but is popular across the country.

“We are proud to have NAAC A plus grade and 53rd NIRF ranking. With all these achievements, the varsity had made its place in the centre of excellence in India. I congratulate all the students and the staffers of KU for achieving the milestones,” he said.

Sinha added, “I think nowadays the knowledge and art of physics, chemistry, biochemistry, social science and history is not the only need to compete. There are other subjects as well through which the students can get groomed in the colleges and universities.”

He also said that besides history of artificial intelligence, I believe that the education of a student gets completed when the campus of any university develops skills of the students.

“The real meaning of the university campus is when it gives students a complete package like transformation and accessibility. It should groom the talent of the students for their better future,” LG said.

He further informed the students of KU that the platform of Sonzal in the campus of KU is one of the best gifts which they can utilize in developing Jammu and Kashmir and India.

“The Vice Chancellor of KU informed me about the dearth of faculty members. The government has increased the retirement age of the faculty members from 62 to 65 years. The official orders will be issued soon by the administration,” Sinha said.

He said that there are number of opportunities which a student can get from the educational institutions and I think they should grab every opportunity—(KNO)
