Young student from Sopore to display his project at National ATAL Innovation Exhibition in Bangalore



A Kashmiri youth’s innovation has been selected by ATAL Innovation Mission NITI Ayog Government of India, to represent JK for display of the project in National ATAL Innovation Exhibition scheduled to be held at Bangalore from September 20-23.


Rubban Abdullah's, who hails from Bomai area of Sopore in north Kashmir has brought laurels to his school Boys Higher Secondary School of Bomai Sopore where he is admitted in Class 12.

“I am overwhelmed to see that a model for reducing accidents at blind curves prepared by me has been selected at national level by ATAL, Innovation Mission NITI Ayog,” he told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

“Since the project was already in my mind a long time ago but due to lack of equipment it was not possible. "This is not my individual effort, my teachers, mentors played a crucial role to get this project done", said Rubban.

Asked about his future plans, he said that he is looking forward to Software engineering.

Principal BHSS Bomai, Abdul Ahad Gojree said that it is a proud moment for the entire education department especially for the school as the students are proving their mettle in every field now.

‘Rubhan is one among our brilliant students, we felicitated his idea, provided him space and tools to prepare this model," he said.

Ishfaq Ahmed Mir, Rubban's mentor and the I/C Atal Tinkering Lab, BHSS Bomai Sopore said, “Rubban was continuously working for fifteen days on this project and finally it succeeded. "One must be goal oriented as this would help them to take a path of which they would succeed"—(KNO)
