Youth opens swimming pool in Srinagar



Srinagar, Jul 07 (KNO): Amid the frequent drowning incidents in Kashmir, a youth from Tankipora area of Srinagar has constructed a swimming pool for people, especially youth with an aim to prevent the loss of lives in water bodies.

As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Imran Ahmad, who hails from Tankipora, Habba Kadal, has started a new business unit and according to him the idea of coming up with a swimming pool is aimed at preventing the loss of lives in the water bodies.

“There is a lack of swimming pools in Kashmir and the youth as well as the minors throng the water bodies to beat the heat amid the scorching heat. It has been seen that many people have died after drowning in the water bodies at different places. This initiative was aimed to prevent the loss of lives,” he said.

Ahmad, who is Managing Director of swimming pool cum restaurant namely “The Diet Hut” has thrown his business unit open for the general public from today—(KNO)
