Centaur Hotel Employees Association led by DDC Member ER Aijaz Hussain meets J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina



Seek grievance redressal, retaining of jobs; Raina promises all out support, assures protection of interests of employees in any case, says won’t allow employees to hit roads in protest

Srinagar, Jun 27 (KNO): A high level delegation of Centaur Hotel Employees Association led by young BJP leader and DDC Member Er Aijaz Hussain today met BJP J&K chief Ravinder Raina to discussed the issue of employment of scores of Hotel employees who have been left to lurch after J&K government recently took over the reins hotel as Hotel Corporation of India flouted the lease norms.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the delegation led by Er Aijaz also comprised the CHEA president Muhammad Shafi and General Secretary Ghulam Haider apprised the J&K BJP chief about the hanging fate of scores of employees who have been earning their livelihood by serving at the hotel since past so many decades. The delegation told Ravinder Raina that they have been let to go no where and their families including children were left in the middle and in the days ahead, with  no source of income, the will be left to starve.

Er Aijaz while pleading the case of CHEA urged Ravinder Raina to intervene and to take up the matter of fate of hundreds of Centaur Hotel Employees with the higher forms so that they are not forced to hit streets in the days ahead due to starvation. He told BJP J&K chief that in any case the interests of the employees who have been serving at the Hotel since past many decades should be protected and they shouldn’t be rendered jobless by any means. Er Aijaz while pleading further urged Ravinder Raina to take up the issue with the LG Manoj Sinha and other concerned so that the employees of Centaur hotel aren’t left jobless and their families are taken due care.

Er Aijaz while stressing on the fact that Centaur was famous hotel of Srinagar where many VVIPs have stayed in the past was an asset that has been protected by its employees, adding that the interest of these employees should be safeguarded. Speaking on the occasion, president of the CHEA Muhammad Shafi sought Ravinder Rain’s personal interest in resolving their grievance. He said that they are living a tough life and that they shouldn’t be rendered jobless in any case and if that happens, their families and children will die of hunger.

Assuring the Centaur hotel employees all possible support, J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina said he will do everything possible and will ensure that the employees aren’t left jobless.  He promised the delegation that their issues will be taken with the higher ups on fast track and they should remain satisfied as all steps will be taken to protect their interests and fulfil their demands—(KNO)
